In 2024, our insurance underwriter conducted a property inspection.  Under the terms of our policy, the Board updated some of the rules in Article V. Section 8 which are allowed to be changed by Board approval without full amendment of the Bylaws.

Last summer we asked you to make sure all non-electric grills were removed decks and to ensure every unit has a working fire extinguisher. Please make sure that this continues to be the case.  Charcoal grills are not allowed on the property, and there are strict rules about outdoor fires.  No open fire should be started if there is any wind present.   Also, now is a good time to check the operation and batteries in your smoke detectors.  Every unit should have at least three working smoke detectors, one in each bedroom and one in the main room.

A copy of the Rules is posted here for your information.   We are fortunate to have insurance, but it’s not going to be any fun if we have to use it and can’t use our property for an extended period of time.  Let’s all do our part to prevent fires.
