Any Board member is happy to hear your views or concerns on short term rentals. However, Maria is who you contact with immediate problems and issues. She will deal with the clients directly.
As a reminder, when the association voted to amend the Bylaws in 2021 regarding short-term rentals, we did not have 16 unit owners willing to vote to prohibit them (a 2/3 majority is required). Therefore, we established stringent procedures to ensure an outside agent would handle any issues that arise and no unit owner or board member would need to be involved. Bonnie-Leigh has made a concerted effort ensure she complies with our requirements and to accommodate concerns of other owners. This is something new for the association, and we will continue to learn and evaluate as time goes on.
