Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting to amend the bylaws.  15 unit owners submitted proxies and 7 voted in person at the June 25 meeting.  There was a minor amendment to the draft in Article V, Section 8.6. regarding storage under the building which was approved at the meeting.  The amendment deleted the 6 foot from the edge of the building requirement which would not be workable in some areas.
The final vote was 21 in favor and 1 opposed.   Thanks to the committee members (Leigh Banducci, Joyce Becerra, Randy Asbell, Bonnie-Leigh Jones and Pam Flippin) who helped draft the new document and the rest of the Board for their support.  Thanks also to the wonderful BCV community for your overwhelming support.
There is a 60 day waiting period for the mortgage companies to review the changes and comment or object.  If none of them do that, the document will be recorded in the Lancaster County land records and become effective.
Here is a copy of the final document.  (It’s unsigned because I have no scanner available today but I will fix that as soon as I am able.)
Please take a look at anything that you might need to address when the bylaws go into effect.  For example, storage of grills on decks will no longer be permitted.  Once the  bylaws go into effect, enforcement will be important because there’s no point to rewriting the rules if we don’t enforce them.  I hope everyone will be considerate of others and abide by them because I know the Board does not want to have to be the police.
Also look for an owner’s handbook to follow that will give a simple reference for the rules as well as other important information.  Now go enjoy  the beautiful summer here at BCV.
